I am humbled and grateful to share that I have been shortlisted as a nominee for the 2025 edition of the 25 Under 25 Awards, under the category of Active Citizenship & Government Engagement.

For me, this nomination, aside from being a great form of recognition, is also a quiet reminder that words, platforms, questions, and informed participation still matter. Over the past year, I have committed myself to writing, policy conversations, and civic education in a way that helps young Nigerians see governance not as a distant activity but as a space they belong to.

My work has been shaped through critical yet constructive writing, offering both reflection and recommendations on public policy, social accountability, and nation-building. I have also been grateful for the opportunity to appear on radio, TV, and community-driven platforms, speaking about active citizenship, civic responsibility, political clarity, and why young people cannot afford to disengage.

This journey has not been perfect, loud, or overnight. Rather, it has been consistent, intentional, reflective, and value-driven. I am grateful to God, to everyone who has read, listened to, challenged, or encouraged me, and to those who believe that impact is not only measured by scale but by sincerity, clarity, and continuity.

Thank you for walking this path with me—whether by reading my articles, watching my interviews, debating my thoughts, or encouraging me to keep learning and growing.

This is only the beginning, and I intend to remain committed to public interest writing, policy literacy, reform-focused advocacy, and meaningful conversation.

With gratitude,

Mide.
